CRI Seal of Approval Program
Back in 2007, the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) began testing carpet cleaning equipment and rating them based on the eficacy of dirt and soil removal. This test also looked for fiber distortion, overwetting issues, and other common problems associated with the various carpet cleaning methods.
The results classified carpet cleaners into 4 separate categories. Each category basically represented how effective the cleaning process worked. Platinum rated systems removed more than 90% of the dirt from the carpet, followed by Gold, Silver, and Bronze cleaning systems.
Each day more and more systems are put to the test to see how well the system performs in providing consumers and business owners true scientific results at how well their systems perform.
